The Canons of Professional Ethics that control the way in which attorneys act in furtherance of their professional objectives state that every attorney must “represent a client zealously within the bounds of the law.
What does this mean exactly?
Well, it obviously means that we can’t break the law when we are representing you. It also means that we have to in a common sense way not try and pull dirty tricks on the other side. What it does mean to us is that we will do everything possible, legal and ethical to get you what you want. We never, ever substitute our judgment for yours. We will advise you as to the law once we know the facts, but you always remain in the driver’s seat.
